Virginia Green is the Commonwealth of Virginia’s campaign to promote environmentally-friendly practices in all aspects of Virginia’s tourism industry.

Our Lodge is like a "beach house" in the woods. The Retreat and Lodge were conceived as a means of supporting the property so that the property wouldn't be turned into a subdivision.

We decided to join Virginia Green because we are constantly striving to have less impact on the environment our facility is in and want to encourage others to do the same.

Some VA green activities include:
• Offer optional linen service
• Recycle
• Reduce solid waste (refillable
  containers, bulk condiments, etc.)
• Use water efficiently
• Conserve energy
• Offer a green events package
