Hiking and Nature

Guests can enjoy miles of hiking opportunities on clearly marked trails. You'll find all kinds of terrain from easy strolling forest paths to mountains and streams. And with the lodge as a base you can hike all day or just take a short walk and you'll find plenty of opportunities to connect with nature. Hike down to the stream below the lodge, or go hiking around the property (maps provided)

Take a guided nature hike with Hugh in the morning, or Joan in the afternoon (Fee based on size of group and requested length of hike) We'll be happy to show you some of the best spots to go.

If you love nature or would like your friends and family to have a chance to get in touch with thier wild side this is the place to be! Here you'll find deer, geese, ducks, and even eagles. Yep, during most of the summer months a few bald eagles usually nest at our river front. And all this with the privacy of a private lodge.

This place is just breathtaking! It's something you would see in a magazine and wish you could be there, and here we are. Thank you for the goodies, they were good too. You have everything you could think of to use - it's great. - LL & GL - Gloversville, NY         What a fabulous weekend here at the Lodge celebrating both of our daughter's graduation from Liberty University! This was the perfect place for our whole family to stay. The "big people" loved the spacious, well-equipped house and kitchen, and the beautiful outdoors. It was great to hang out in the hammock and have a fire in the evening under the stars. The "little people" loved all the room to run around and roll around. It is just so nice to stay somewhere where you have all the amenities of home and more! We can't wait to come back!
